In this tutorial I explain how to acheive a glamour look using umbrella lights. I go over the proper techniques used on many music videos. The example used in this tutorial is taken from a music video I did for artist JReyez. For more please visit my website: www.ANTOS.ca The examples in this video were shot with the Canon 7D. You can see the finished music video here: www.youtube.com Here is a few links to where you can buy similar equipment to the ones used in this tutorial (NOTICE: I am not endorsing any of these sales, or have had any personal dealings with the following sellers, so buy at your own risk!) The bird @ 1:44 is a Seahawk, the mascot of the team that plays at that stadium

It’s the elusive Seahawk.
Midnight city – M83
…Seriously. Thanks dude. Dying to make something revolving around Beast Mode. Keep feeding him skittles until I get to it.
what is the name of the original version of this song (before dubstep)?
This needs to be made into a Seahawks promo… How sick would that be if this vid had someone like Marshawn Lynch sitting in the lockerroom at 1:05! Good work though man.
who are those 56 evil people which didn’t like this video? This video is AWESOME!
very nice!!
Did you see the bird at 1:44 ? 😉

Hey guys i just wanted to ask you for a short favor. DjKillaLive is a new dj who does all kinds of mixes (electro/house, hardstyle, dubstep…) and I know there are a lot of people like me its annoying when we beg for views but it would mean so much if you would check out my new dubstep mix, since i have no money for advertisements all i can do is this. I hope to be a great DJ in the future and with your help maybeHe can…
Thanks for reading this and sorry for doing this on other peoples video

Just stop on the 1:44 and you can see the shadow of a dove or an eagle)
Can’t apply the screenshot…

what kind of lens did you use in this tut?
Great vid 🙂
Great tutorial but one of the lights is in shot at 6.45 and 6.56 in the top right of the frame.
the fluorescent lights were a different color temp from the rest of your lights. Is it okay to mix?
this guy is amazing!!
thank you, i’ve been looking for this kind of explanation about video lighting for awhile. upfront, transparent, and descriptive.
What do you use to power light in outside shoots?
you are doing an awesome job! thanks for sharing…
Umbrella light gives more contrast than a soft box, your theory is incorrect.
Also, I’ve seen this tutorial about 15 times within the last couple months because I keep coming back to this for reference. One of the best lighting tutorials on Youtube. I really appreciate the time and effort you took in making this tutorial while filming a music video!
AWESOME tutorial … makes a lot of sense doing the tutorial using the finished scene EXCELLENT! … You saved me quite a bit of money as I was a bit indecisive between umbrellas vs soft boxes. Keep more tutorials coming. I subscribed.
